TVO promoted and supported sustainability activities to “Koh lad E-tan”, a community along the Tha Chin River, Nakhon Pathom Province. TVO created the “Eco Flying” project that helps raise the level of community enterprises while solving the water hyacinth problem by converting water hyacinth into environmentally friendly food containers for use in the community and selling to those interested. It was a biodegradable food container. TVO had been supporting to observational study at Nong Nam Sai Department of Non-Formal Education at Pha Chi district, Ayutthaya province which a complete water hyacinth management center. This project was carrying through the concept of driving the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) economy and emphasized creating economic value from the reuse of materials.

Mr. Pachai Chanpitaksa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited (TVO) revealed “The Eco Flying project was one of our sustainability projects. It had been solving the problem, generating income, and promoting the environment by adding value to water hyacinth and ready to support knowledge to upgrade agricultural products to revenue-generating to communities. The goal had been creating local communities to strong, potential and self-reliant sustainably.

The project was operating through the concept of creating value for the community according to sustainability guidelines to improve the quality of life of people in society. TVO was ready to support the drive of sustainable business throughout the value chain to become a reality in a concrete way.
