The year 2018 marks the significant change of Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited. The structure of the Board of Directors, high executives, personnel from various departments have been changed while the management structure is optimized in response to the industrial change as well as in preparation for the production growth. Meanwhile, the Company carries on its adherence to the business operation that takes responsibility on society and environment to achieve sustainable growth.
Furthermore, it is also the year of our great dignity that Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited is much honored to receive a royal grant from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to be a distributor of products including “PatPat” Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil which is one of the projects of the Chaipattana Foundation. The Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil is well resistant to the heat, containing good fat, omega 3-6-9. The project is a contribution to the well-being of Thai agriculture.
TVO prioritizes the selection of raw materials and the production of quality products under the sustainability framework. On the other hand, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations has been implemented to the business operation of the Company with the aim to cause the economic, social and environmental development. In 2018, the Business Code of Conduct has been revised to be suitable for the changes of situation and environment. The Company places the importance of risk management that cover the entire organization, promotion of technology and innovation to apply to the production process, creating added value, enhancing efficiency and reducing the cost of production. These are a part contributing to the satisfied turnover which reaches over Baht 25,326 million, a growth of 2.1 percent from 2017 while the net profit is Baht 1,867 million, representing a profit of Baht 2.31 per shares, an increment of 40 percent from the previous year.
At the same time during the past year, the Company has taken part in supporting health among the youth and communities, sponsoring the lunch project for school students and medical equipment to hospitals, promoting the equality in receiving educations to deprived youth to enable them to apply the knowledge in developing their own communities. Another support is on Pracharath large-scale project promoting the soybean farming based on organic fertilizers which not only reduce the cost of production but also increase the soybean productivity, improving soil quality and environment. Placing the importance on the cost-effective consumption of energy at fullest efficiency and effectiveness while complying with the quality policy, occupational health, environment, and energy conservation, the Company contributes to the reduction of the greenhouse gas with an aim to preserve the valuable natural resources for next generations.
