TVO Listed in the ESG100 for the 9th Consecutive Year
02 August 2024Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited received the ESG100 Award for the year 2024 from the Thaipat Institute. Mr. Suchai Visesleela, Managing Director of Thai Vegetable Oil Public Company Limited, represented the Company in receiving the ESG100 Company Certificate from Mr. Pipat Yodprudtikan, Chairman of the Thaipat Institute, at the Company’s headquarters in Bangkok.
TVO has been selected from 920 listed companies as an outstanding performer in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices within the Agro & Food Industry sector. Additionally, the Company has been included in the ESG100 list for 9 consecutive years, from 2016 to 2024. This recognition is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the company's ESG practices and financial performance.
Mr. Suchai Visesleela stated that "This award reflects the Company's commitment to sustainable business practices under the ESG strategy: Doing Well by Doing Good. The company has enhanced its production processes through efficient cost management, adhering to international operational standards from sourcing raw materials, standardized production, to product delivery. The goal is to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2060 while also fostering trust and improving the quality of life for consumers, employees, and communities, alongside ensuring sustainable environmental stewardship throughout the value chain."
The Thaipat Institute, a pioneer in developing sustainability data for businesses, first released the list of 100 outstanding companies in ESG performance, known as the ESG100 group, in 2015. Since then, the Institute has continued to gather and compile sustainability data of listed companies.
